International Counsellor and Facilitator

Prea is a behavioral scientist, facilitator, educator, researcher, global consultant and certified psychotherapist. Our work is focused on helping people better understand their beliefs and patterns. Our goal is to help people feel more connected, better understood, alive, secure, more able to tolerate risks and loss, more compassionate, and living life with greater confidence and integrity. We bring together and uses a diverse and eclectic array of tools and approaches, that are uniquely catered to each individual and group. We have three unique 10 week programmes, Kantha, Kintsugi and Ankara,  to empower you in your own self care; we help you implement a customized set of practises, in a relatively short time frame, that you can put to use for life. 

Do you really need the programme?

Are there emotions and thoughts that you don’t like seeing in yourself? Are there sides of you, actions and events that you would rather not dwell on? Are there aspects of yourself you dislike? Do you watch yourself engage in “risky” behaviours and wonder why you do it and wish you could change it? Do you wonder why you eat the way you do or how much you do? Do you feel a restlessness, a lack of fulfilment and a yearning for inner peace, in any area of your life? 

Do you see patterns repeat themselves and ask yourself, “Why am I doing this again and again”? Do you wish you could handle certain situations better, build deeper connections and have richer dialogue? And do you want to get to a point where you are able to do much of this on your own, and in a relatively short span of time? 

This discomfort with ourselves leads to an underlying sense of inadequacy or dissatisfaction that results in this state chronic inner homelessness. This state of being has been found to impair learning, muzzle self-expression, and promote problematic self-soothing behaviours such as poor eating, drugs and alcohol. As much of our belief patterns and habits get set early on we tend to be quite unconscious of them, and even when we become conscious we still aren’t able to change them, in long lasting ways.

Prea approaches this work from the lens of behavioural science; which is an examination of why people behave the way they do. This can take on many forms – from the social influences that impact us, to the environment that we are in, to the economic incentives that we have. While there may be a flavour of therapy, she considers this to be a more whole-istic approach to emotional and social well-being.

Ten week programmes

Ten week programmes

Kantha, Kintsuigi, Ankara. It is highly recommended that you start your journey with a ten week immersive program. These programs offer the core skills, and the pace and structure are designed to help you implement these skills. At the end of each program our hope is that you will have begun to incorporate these skills as a part of your habitual routines.

On a case by case basis we also offer a session by session model. If you are just starting out we suggest that you commit to at least 5 sessions.

Over the course of the year we offer a series of online and live workshops based on different themes. These workshops are wonderful ways to get introduced to Prea’s work, and to build and strengthen the tools you have learned in the individual work. 

Farm Sessions

Farm Sessions

The farm sessions are usually half day programs (and can also be residential), conducted at Prea’s home. These sessions incorporate nature and pet assisted therapy, that are hugely beneficial in alleviating physical and mental issues.

These are intensive 2-5 day sessions, where we can work intensively on a specific set of tools and concerns. Residential sessions are incredibly powerful and only done after a client has completed at least one ten week programme.

I came to therapy with a lot of resistance, mistrust and trepidation - how will I even talk to a complete stranger about my intensely private and personal issues and I am not sure how talking will help etc., etc. Even when I started, it was almost one foot in and the other out, ready to run at the slightest! Coming from a small town, I had no exposure to the idea of mental health issues. When I started my sessions with Prea, I was on 6 psychiatric pills a day. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety, OCD and Schizophrenia. Every moment of the day was literally like a torture for me.
