Musings 2

Often, and especially when the emotional charge is high, we tend to think in black/white, either/or. What if we try and understand both options, and explore if there’s a third way? What if in addition to an Either/or approach, we also look at “And”? When options seem orthogonal, stepping back and understanding the need behind each, being open to the possibility of this AND that, may get us to what we are more aligned with? Pause, stand between the doors and sniff the air for a bit longer? Better to understand why we are making the decision we are, feel at peace with it , than to rush towards one, just to get out of the discomfort.
